OUR HISTORY

HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

DD&C began in 2015 with small side projects that founder Bryan Desgrosellier worked on while maintaining a full-time job at a regional commercial construction company. His hope was to one day provide the industry with a different type of construction company where egos were checked and each person who worked there could learn, grow and master a wide variety of skills while being well-compensated and valued.

In early 2017, Bryan received a contract for a full home renovation and addition. He asked a high school acquaintance and engineering whiz, Sean Howard, to come on board as project manager at this point. The two met at coffee shops, restaurants and even Bryan’s dining room table at times, to work on the company’s small but gut growing projects. Shortly thereafter our first superintendent, Vance Chapman, came on board - who Bryan had worked with in the past. At this point they set up an office area in Bryan’s unfinished basement.

In late 2018, DD&C moved into the current office space on Evergreen Blvd., fully renovating the space over time. This is when Bryan made the leap into managing full time, officially leaving the established commercial construction company behind.

The earliest DD&C projects were decks, small remodels, then larger remodels, until branching into healthcare construction in 2019, with Metropolitan Pediatrics’ Bridgeport location as our first major Tenant Improvement project.

Currently, DD&C has grown to nearly 25 employees and has expanded into mutiple vertical markets, including: healthcare, office, commercial, and edged into the public construction sphere with some public works contracts. Our first development slated to break ground in 2023 is featuring 23 cottage homes (less than 1,000 SF) in Camas, WA.
